Camila Torres is an Associate at The Carlson Law Firm, based in Miami, Florida.
Camila earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where she served as Articles and Comments Editor for the International and Comparative Law Review. She also holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Miami.
She is a co-author of “Neither Goose Nor Gander: Why Tort Reform Fails All,” published in the Florida Bar Journal, which earned her the 2024 Florida Bar Journal Excellence in Writing Award. The article provides a critical examination of the unintended consequences of tort reform and its impact on the legal landscape.
Before joining the firm, Camila represented clients in complex state and federal criminal matters, honing her skills in courtroom strategy and client-focused defense.
Camila now focuses her practice in the areas of construction litigation and general liability defense.
