Carl A Kafka Jr. is an associate in the firm’s Miami office. Mr. Kafka earned his B.A. in International Politics at Wesleyan University and his Juris Doctor at University of Miami Law School where he graduated Cum Laude, received honors in pre-trial and trial litigation courses, and achieved the CALI Award for academic excellence. During law school, Mr. Kafka worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Robert N. Scola, gaining invaluable experience researching and drafting orders in various fields of law including admiralty, environmental, and criminal law.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kafka was an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office. During his tenure, he prosecuted and resolved thousands of criminal cases. He accrued extensive courtroom experience, arguing motions to suppress and litigating trials. Mr. Kafka is now leveraging his litigation experience to focus his practice on construction litigation, general liability, and real estate litigation.
